The Website and Publications Manager is responsible for assisting the marketing and communications department in reaching its annual earned income goals by planning and implementing WPAS communications activities in print and online, including branding strategies and sales campaigns. With the Associate Director of Marketing, this position serves as the organization’s primary writer and editor, as well as the liaison with all departments to provide scheduling, trafficking, and cost estimates for communications materials. This position works directly with the graphic designer to fulfill all publications and graphics needs for the organization. Responsibilities include directing production of performance programs, direct mail pieces, website content, and other materials.

| Duties and Responsibilities: |

| Publications Management |
- Participate in determining WPAS’ creative strategy for institutional branding and for reaching targeted audiences by making recommendations for the overall concept and approach for print and online materials.
- Serve as writer and editor of printed and online copy, including direct mail, newsletters, ads, flyers, invitations, performance programs, and website.
- Maintain editorial/graphic standards of written and printed communications marketing, development, education, and programming, providing a unified voice for the institution and high levels of quality control.
- Plan, communicate, and implement deadlines and production schedules for all print projects by coordinating with project originator, graphic designer, and print vendor.
- Serve as WPAS’ print buyer, gathering bids to identify the most cost-effective print specifications. Cultivate relationships with print vendors to negotiate contracts, and coordinate paper selection with vendor and graphic designer.
- Prepare and distribute printed proofs, serving as project trafficker. Distribute final printed samples.
- Order and maintain inventory of all institutional publications, including letterhead, envelopes, press folders, etc.

| Website Management |
- Serve as content manager for the website, writing, editing, and posting all content.
- Plan, communicate, and implement deadlines and production schedules for all website projects by coordinating schedules with project originator and website vendor/web manager.
- Assist the Director of Marketing in creating and implementing enhanced website features, including online ticket sales and promotions.
- Coordinate WPAS staff participation on the website, conducting meetings and assigning responsibilities as needed.
- Serve as inter-departmental contact for all website content updates.

- Assist Director and Associate Director of Marketing and Communications with implementation of all marketing initiatives.
- Assist in brainstorming creative strategies for establishing sales campaigns, promoting individual events to increase earned revenues, organizational visibility, and brand awareness.
- Assist with direct mail marketing strategy and planning.
- Represent WPAS at performances and other events as needed.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer service.
- Attend and participate in Marketing Department meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

| Education and Experience Requirements |
- College graduate with a degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in print and web-based communications.
- Must be a superior writer, editor, and project manager.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver helpful.
- Must be creative and a self-starter.
- Some evening and weekend concert duty required.
