contributed to the genre of gospel music, performing for sold-out audiences, featuring renowned gospel artists such as Yolanda Adams, Richard Smallwood, Walter Hawkins, Daryl Coley, Donnie McClurkin, and LaShan Pace, among others.

Highlights of recent local/community performances by the WPAS Men and Women of the Gospel choir include: guest choral performances at the Billy Taylor Birthday Celebration at the Kennedy Center, the Hallelujah/USA project with Liz Lerman Dance Exchange at Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, performances at the Kennedy Center Open House Celebration in 2002, and the 2003 DC Mayor's Arts Award Ceremony at the Lincoln Theatre.
