| What is the Concerts In Schools Program? |
The WPAS teaching artists conduct performance/demonstrations at participating schools. This model allows for students to learn through an assembly format; the program presents examples of the art form, engages students, and highlights curricular links. |
| What is a Back-to-Back Performance? |
WPAS offers the back-to-back performance/demonstration format which covers two (2) performances on-site at a school within 3.0 hour time frames.
This format allows the school to include majority of the students in the experience. |
| For Example: |
The first event is for younger grade levels; the second event is designed for upper grade levels. Each performance can be scheduled for 30mins (minimum) up to 1 hour (maximum). Artists/ensembles may opt to increase the length of a specific program after consultation with teacher. |
| What is a workshop based program? |
WPAS provides in-school workshops in the visual arts. These workshops are for smaller groups of students. |
-
Maximum of 30 students per class
-
Two (2) 1.5-hour back-to-back workshops, or One (1) 2.0-3.0-hour workshop
