This five-concert series features musicians who are true masters of their instruments.

Classical music’s most acclaimed soloists and ensembles are showcased in the magnificent Music Center at Strathmore, praised by critics, audiences, and artists for the brilliance and warmth of its acoustics.

The Music Center at Strathmore is the ideal setting for world-class artistry. Experience commanding piano performances in this four-concert series. The WPAS Piano Masters Series is made possible in part by generous support from Betsy and Robert Feinberg.

This series was established in 1966 in honor of WPAS’ founder, Patrick Hayes, and his wife, accomplished pianist and teacher Evelyn Swarthout Hayes. From Pollini to Perahia, virtually every pianist made his or her Kennedy Center recital debut on this extraordinary series. All concerts are at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.

This series features recitals by the world’s finest emerging string musicians who follow in the footsteps of renowned Kreeger Series alumni, including violinists Gil Shaham and Hilary Hahn. To enhance your experience, a discussion with the artists will take place after each performance. All concerts are at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.
