*More Than Notes:
More Than Notes concert preview at 6:45pm, led by Benjamin K. Roe
More Than Notes concert previews are an exciting way to enhance your enjoyment and understanding of WPAS performances. This season, lecturers Ben Roe and WETA’s Marilyn Cooley will offer insights and comparisons between the performing artists in each of the following genres—Great Orchestras, Pianists, Vocalists, and Strings—in addition to further illuminating the written program notes.
More Than Notes concert previews are generously made possible by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Artist Information:
"Expressiveness, spontaneity, and intellect belong together inseparably," writes legendary pianist Maurizio Pollini. Renowned for his virtuosity and unqualified attention to the composer's intentions, Pollini is extolled as "one of the most satisfying, illuminating, and all-around impressive pianists of any generation" (Los Angeles Times).
