More Than Notes:

More Than Notes concert preview at 6:15pm, led by Marilyn Cooley

More Than Notes concert previews are an exciting way to enhance your enjoyment and understanding of WPAS performances. This season, lecturers Ben Roe and WETA’s Marilyn Cooley will offer insights and comparisons between the performing artists in each of the following genres—Great Orchestras, Pianists, Vocalists, and Strings—in addition to further illuminating the written program notes.

More Than Notes concert previews are generously made possible by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Artist Information:

"This orchestra has all the right ingredients," writes The New York Times. "The highly polished string sound that has traditionally been its strength; the solid, gleaming brass playing it has cultivated more recently; woodwinds that convey shapeliness and lyricism; and percussionists who aren't afraid to play at full throttle."

Co-presentation with The Music Center at Strathmore.
