Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA) is comprised of the most promising young musicians from 24 countries throughout the Western hemisphere. Selected through a rigorous audition process—more than 10,000 students have applied—only the finest musicians are invited to join the orchestra on full scholarship. YOA is joined by Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero, recently heard worldwide at the inaugural ceremony of President Obama.
