He holds degrees in voice and English, and won a Peabody Award for the radio documentary The Mississippi: River of Song. He's the author of the memoir, A Crossing (Simon and Schuster, 1998). He also hosts the Friday night broadcasts of the Minnesota Orchestra heard regionally on Classical Minnesota Public Radio. |
